ROCORI Grants Hard at Work Supporting FIRST Robotics
Updated: Nov 19, 2021
ROCORI Area Community Foundation mentions ROCORI FIRST Robotics at its outdoor concert.
Foundation member Pat Donlin had lots of good things to say about the ROCORI FIRST Robotics program when he mentioned our FRC team 4728 as a recipient of a $5,000 grant. The grant money will be combined with team money to purchase a new CNC for the metal shop. The CNC will be put to work as students learn Computer Aided Design and Manufacture. The Robotics team will make all of its manipulators and drivetrain with this new machine in 2022.
The ROCORI Area Community Foundation (RACF), a partner of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation and powered by CommunityGiving, is a public charity that attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the local community. The RACF has grown to over $1.2M in assets and awarded over $450,000 in grants to the community. Collectively, CommunityGiving administers over 880 funds totaling more than $153 million.
